Da Reddit Hi. First time poster. Long time lurker. Just want to clear any sort of air as to what exactly happened last night at Coachella regarding sound. I see a lot of people upset with Coachella themselves, but it had nothing to do with the Coachella system. When you are a band as big as Radiohead, you have your own sound guy, and a lot of the time you bring your own board. What we were told in the artist compound after the set was Radiohead's OWN board was shutting off. And they had to keep resetting their OWN equipment because they didnt want to use Coachella's board. If you noticed, Thom also came out and tried to explain that in his own mumbling way. Something along the lines of, don't worry, this was our fault. I know the people who put on the festival, so I get guest passes every year and that's what they told me. Thom also literally came out and said it was on their(Radioheads) end.
