Strategia commerciale Thom

-zero spotify

-zero youtube

-zero condivisioni su social network

-zero tour

-zero apparizioni televisive

"Come disapparire completamente"

Spero che continui con questa vena...

E perchè mai?

BitTorrent Now Lets Anyone Release an Album as a Paid-For Bundle

It's not only Thom Yorke hawking his wares on BitTorrent – now any artist can.

Earlier this year, Thom Yorke released his new album on BitTorrrent, selling it in a package that had to be paid for. Now, BitTorrent will let any artist release an album as a paid-for bundle.

Just in case you've missed how bundles work on BitTorrent, here's a refresher:

Actually, the entire set-up is very flexible. You can allow, say, the first 500 people to listen for free and then charge, or just give everyone a single free track. Hell, you could even just ask everyone to pay for all of it. It's worth noting that it doesn't just apply to music, either: it could be apps, movies or something else entirely.

Basically, a bundle is really just a bunch of files—music, lyrics, videos, etc.—transferred to you over the BitTorrent protocol using a client of your choice.... Usually, the bundles are gated—so that in order to get access to the bundle you've got to submit your email address or some other information. It works as a free/premium system. For example, you might get a song or two for free, and then even more songs behind the gate.

But for now at least, we can expect music to be the main thrust—and given what's beenhappening with Taylor Swift, this might be welcome news for many artists. BitTorrent may just be the future of music. [BitTorrent via TechCrunch]

http://www.stereogum.com/1727487/thom-yorke-may-have-made-20m-on-tomorrows-modern-boxes/news/

articolo condivisibile in alcune sue parti.

https://itunes.apple.com/album/tomorrows-modern-boxes/id1012400186?v0=9989&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&ign-mpt=uo%3D1

Poi boh

Heard that a new 12" from Thom Yorke (or AFP for that matters) is on the way. For real

EDIT: For those who will ask, I have no informations regarding the tracklist, the number of tracks and the release date. It's just a friend who work for labels that told me he saw something about this. He is a reliable source as far as I can tell and would have got no interest trolling me or what
