Mi piace pensare che si parli di piccole cose, di gesti quotidiani, e della consapevolezza delle armi che possediamo, come singoli individui, ma anche delle conseguenze delle nostre azioni. The numbers don't decide lo interpreto così: chi se ne frega della massa, se prima non cambia il singolo. Probabilmente non è così, e Thom è davvero grillino Sì, ma difatti parla effettivamente di quello che dici tu, però non dice "chissenefrega delle masse", anzi dice "we call upon the people, people have this power" e dice che i numeri che non decidono sono quelli del sistema che è menzognero e che è un fiume quasi secco, e lì ci sento qualcosa del Movimento 5 Stelle, eh, magari non di quello odierno strutturato come partito, ma di quello di un paio di anni fa, dei meetup e della democrazia diretta. Nel senso, è stata presentata come Silent Spring (che tra l'altro come titolo mi piaceva di più, ma vabbè) in versione acustica da Thom, e sul disco è rimasta una ballatona zeppeliniana con la chitarra acustica. Anche Give up the ghost quando fu presentata da Thom a Cambridge fece un'ottima impressione, ma la versione di TKOL era praticamente identica e fu una mezza delusione. Sì, un po' scolastica l'ho pensato anch'io, Jonny poteva impegnarsi di più... ma alla fine ci sta, penso che il pezzo sia bene arrangiato...gli han dato questo piglio fricchettone-afro-zeppelin Secondo me la debolezza del pezzo è più che altro nella scrittura: il riff è un po' riciclato (Thom ha questa fissa con la cadenza minore->maggiore, la sentiamo in tanti pezzi, da Optimistic in poi...), la struttura non si evolve (il bridge col coro simil-gospel non ha mordente), e gli interventi di Ed, Colin e Phil rasentano il banale Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
