Posso solamente dire che mi ha dato l'idea che si siano dimenticati di aver fatto The King Of Limbs. Ci sono un sacco di influenze da Amensiac in poi, sopratutto. Radiohead’s supporting players remain clearly involved in the sound of these songs in a way that elevates them far above Yorke’s solo work. As demonstrated when “Daydreaming” reaches the point of euphoric overflow, Colin Greenwood can still flip a song on its side with one or two well-placed bass notes. Phil Selway’s drums continue to hold everything together in such a way that the melodic elements seem to drift in midair — I mean, just listen to the way he shepherds “Decks Dark” through all its phases and moving parts. Ed O’Brien — well, I still don’t know exactly what he brings to the band besides dashing good looks, but that man sure is aging well. Thomyorke Posted May 10, 2016 Report Share Posted May 10, 2016 Probabilmente in generale voti alti ma temo per motivi che hanno poco a che vedere con i criteri che dovrebbero portare ad attribuire un voto alto a questo album. Per motivi "secondari" come il ritorno alla densità strumentale o in certi casi alla forma canzone classicamente intesa. L'enormità del disco è funzione di uno standard qualitativo elevatissimo e alla capacità di legare assieme con estrema naturalezza sonorità eterogenee. In più di una circostanza hanno compensato con la loro classe l'abbandono di un songwriting costruito sui meccanismi di sottrazione a cui eravamo abituati (kidA e tkol sono esempi paradigmatici). Il tutto suona più immediato ma è solo una illusione: ogni ascolto è un viaggio che tocca nuove profondità, che permette di scoprire stratificazioni di suoni meravigliose.
