Qualcuno di AtEase è riuscito a mettere le mani su un numero di Q Magazine che recensisce i 3 inediti di OKNOTOK. 

Per quanto riguarda Man Of War:

"The most intriguing of the three tracks, Man Of War sounds like the song that's had the most contemporary tinkering. Meeting People Is Easy showed the band tearing their hair out as they attempted to record it at aborted sessions for what would eventually become Kid A, but this rendition resembles the slow-building, skulking rock version they played live. With dramatic strings and a reverb-drenched vocal, Man Of War is much further down the production line. There may be a good reason why, with its dramatic strings and atmospheric outro, it resembles the best Bond theme there never was. There's a rumour that the band revisited the track and submitted the finished song as their proposed Spectre theme tune before the Bond chiefs realised it was an old outtake and insisted they write a song from scratch instead. Radiohead went and did that, and then Sam Smith got the gig. Sometimes the world doesn't make sense."

Io onestamente sono dubbioso che possano deludermi. Quindi le prendo per quello che sono: outtakes. Se dovessero stupirmi, tanto meglio. 
I promise, un po' è salita con gli ascolti, sono pur sempre i radiohead.

Ma poi, hai presente Man Of War che canzone è? Non stiamo mica parlando (con tutto il rispetto, perché l'amo) di I Promise: probabilmente fra le unreleased è il loro pezzo migliore

Io ho tante aspettative su Lift. Adoro quel pezzo, anche per vari motivi personali. 
Ci vado con i piedi di piombo, tutto qui.

Per quanto mi piaccia I promise giuro che continuo a non capire perché non abbiano puntato su Man of war per la promozione di Oknotok, sono convinta che sia ad un altro livello anche senza averla ascoltata

Sì qualità orrenda ma che classe! Quel piano...

Qui la qualità è troppo scarsa per dirne di più. L'unica cosa di cui mi son reso conto è che probabilmente Thom ha registrato la voce in cinque minuti quando era al cesso.

Da come la descrivi pare sia la voce guida... dunque la canzone dovrebbe essere stata abbandonata prima della registrazione della voce definitiva. Chissà cosa non li aveva soddisfatti... Strano perché c'erano già gli archi sopra, segno che ci hanno creduto fin quasi all'ultimo in questa versione.

Se è così, come per I Promise, anche il mixaggio di Man Of War, non è quello originale del 1997, ma è fatto nel 2017 in occasione di OKNOTOK.

Il problema di Spectre è che uscita dopo un certo Re dei Rami...

E' strana...sembra fatta VERAMENTE IERI... cioè il mixaggio è sicuramente 2017, ci sono tutti i marchi di fabbrica di Nigel tardo, ma.... cazzo sembra anche registrata, suonata e arrangiata oggi. 

Più che uno scarto di Ok Computer sembra un incrocio tra The Bends e A Moon Shaped Pool (cosa che si potrebbe dire anche di I Promise... pensateci...)
