A me interesserebbe molto la tua compilation, Caio ;-)

ecco la mia compilation :dance:

le canzoni non sono nominate tutte nello stesso modo. Non esiste neanche un ordine preciso credo. Sono solo pezzi soul e funk che mi piacciono particolarmente. In alcuni brani la qualità è un po' bassa. Non sono riuscito a trovare di meglio.

stavo guardando un documentario sulla Peoples Temple Church del reverendo Jim Jones... e in una clip ci piazzano dentro questo brano: sono rimasto completamente stregato, fulminato... :afro:

(solo Gil Scott Heron e i Wailers pre-Island mi avevano fatto lo stesso effetto prima d'ora)

gran bel pezzo lacà! ritmica dal suono molto particolare...sto timmy thomas da dove esce? insomma chi cazzo è?

io invece in questi giorni ho ascoltato molto Isaac Hayes, di cui in verità conosco poco, ma di sicuro Hot Buttered Soul è un discone. Poi questo pezzo è stato campionato un pò da tutti, compresi i Portishead se non sbaglio. E in effetti capisco bene il perchè. Quanto era avanti coi tempi? Anche a livello sonoro, di produzione, anche se non me ne intendo molto, mi sembra davvero curatissimo

Di Gaye consiglio vivamente gli album What's Going On, Let's Get It On, Here My Dear e Midnight Love, negli ultimi due però c'è anche un po' di dance.

Poi ci sono i classici Parliament-Funkadelic, che adoro. Maggot Brain (già dai voi citato) è uno dei miei album preferiti del genere. Poi George Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Al Green, Chic, Sly & The Family Stone, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Isley Brothers e The Impressions: nomi che conoscerete tutti ma che ricordo comunque perché sono un must per conoscere il Soul e il Funk.

Poi ci sono i Mahavishnu Orchestra, un gruppo che fa funk e rock misto a musiche orientali.
