Wanderer
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/70879/Radiohead-A-Moon-Shaped-Pool/ 5.0 e una bella chiosa For the first time in quite a while, we’re hearing Radiohead craft music that isn’t necessarily pushing an experimental limit, but is rather attempting to piece together the best album they could possibly make this deep into their respective careers. In that sense, this record is more of an OK Computer than it is a Kid A or The King of Limbs, and that’s perfectly fine. For many of us, A Moon Shaped Pool is the album we’ve always wanted but never thought we would get: a simple and beautiful post-2010 indie-rock offering from perhaps the greatest bands of our time. Filled to the brim with gorgeous pianos, acoustic guitars, strings – and with but a few unexpected forays into uncharted musical territory – A Moon Shaped Pool provides us with exactly that. This may not be Radiohead’s most experimental album, but it is without a doubt their most sonically pleasing, elegant, and acoustically immaculate offering to date – and it just might be their best, too. Present Tense
@li
Glass Eyes fa piangere a dirotto, The Numbers è drammaticamente perfetta e True Love Waits è l'unico finale possibile.

Wanderer

In Italia, The King of Limbs era arrivato al massimo all'ottavo posto nel 2011

Sig.Bakke
Scaruffi li premia con un 6 (!) voto più alto per i radiohead dai tempi di Amnesiac:http://www.scaruffi.com/vol6/radiohea.html Thankfully, Radiohead abandoned the beats for A Moon Shaped Pool (XL, 2016), their least machine-based album yet, a veritable return to humanity. If the driving minimalist repetition of Burn the Witchsounds like an amateurish impersonation of Michael Nyman augmented with melancholy new-age piano, a couple of the songs display real genius like it rarely happened on their pretentious albums: the creative collage of The Numbers blends distorted Indian-esque music with snippets of orchestral music, massive organ drones and ghostly lysergic chanting; the elaborate ethereal pastiche Daydreaming blends more minimalist repetition with drones and sound effects that are almost musique concrete; Present Tense grafts flamenco-ish guitar and falsetto scat into a Caribbean beat; and Ful Stop sets an electronic threnody to Neu-esque motorik rhythm. Half of the album is wasted in minor detours, such as the somber and spare litany Desert Island Disk and the languid r&b over syncopated digital beat Identikit, but this could be their best album since Amnesiac.
