Comunque Oscar o non Oscar credo che Phantom Thread sarà un grande colonna sonora e come There Will Be Blood sarà riconosciuto come tale.

La motivazione dell'Academy ("“the majority of the music [on the score] was not composed specifically for the film") non è chiarissima. Probabilmente hanno inciso entrambi i fattori. Secondo un articolo di NME, "Greenwood’s score lasts for 35 minutes, but in the film a further 46 minutes of pre-written music is featured, including 15 minutes of Greenwood’s 2006 work ‘Popcorn Superhet Receiver’.".

:lol:

All these good things being said, there is nonetheless no individual contribution to the film's character and impact more important than Jonny Greenwood's music. Creating his fourth soundtrack for Anderson, Greenwood has crafted a gorgeously melodious, piano-dominated score that would have been right at home as part of a black-and-white late-1940s romantic melodrama. Remarkably, however, there's not a trace of retro or campiness to it, as it swoops right in to instantly transport you back to the era and create a mood of turbulent feelings and amorous expectation. As with the film itself, it leaves you wondering: "Where on Earth did this come from?"

Daydreaming = piano
Decks Dark = piano / chitarra
Desert Island Disk = synth
Ful Stop = chitarra
Identikit = chitarra
The Numbers = piano
Tinker Tailor Solider Sailor = ondes
True Love Waits = piano

Urco :)
