ironlung Posted December 17, 2004 Report Share Posted December 17, 2004 About A Boy di Nick HornbyE' il libro da cui hanno tratto l'omonimo film dei fratelli Weitz:P.s. preferisco il libro al film anche perchè nell'ultimo è stata trascurata (causa problemi legali con vedova Cobain) la parte che riguardava i Nirvana Libro mille volte meglio...anche se devo ammettere che Hugh è azzeccatissimo per il personaggio....ma l'aver trascurato la storia di "Curt 'O Bein....chi è un giocatore irlandese del Manchester?" è purtroppo una pecca non da poco...per restare in tema Hornby consiglio a tutti coloro non l'avessero già letto "31 Songs"...per dei malati di musica come noi è veramente immancabile...si legge in una giornata... grande Nick! supersonicgirl' Posted January 25, 2005 Report Share Posted January 25, 2005 Ho appena finito a leggere "bruciata viva" di Suad.Il libro parla di una ragazza di 19 anni che si scopre incinta e la famiglia ( sarà il cognato a commettere il reato) deciderà di ucciderla bruciandola perchè aveva macchiato l'onore della famiglia, ma lei riuscirà a salvarsi e a venire in Europa.Purtroppo quando leggo queste cose mi ritengo fortunata di essere nata in Occidente. Kla Posted February 4, 2005 Report Share Posted February 4, 2005 Vita di Melania Mazzucco, una bella storia sugli italiani immigrati in America ai primi del Novecento.E poi I'm a stranger here myself, di Bill Bryson (non so se lo abbiano tradotto in italiano), che e' una serie di aneddoti divertenti sullo stile di vita americano, raccontato da un americano tornato nel suo Paese dopo aver vissuto 20 anni in Gran Bretagna.
