There's No Reason To Be ScaredTime ago I had a friend He was walking down the street When at once he saw a man Climbing houses on his feet. So he asked: “What are you doing?” Said the man “I’m always there I’m just climbing up the building There’s no reason to be scared.” “Climbing up? And please, what for?” Told my friend the funny man. “Seein’ how much the house is tall Tryin’ to measure, if I can.” “I can’t understand at all It’s not dangerous, up there?” “My dear son, I’m fine, you know: There’s no reason to be scared.” Quoth the man. My friend went by, He kept walking down the street In his mind still asking why Was that man up on his feet. “Nevermind” told him the good sense “Plenty of madmen in this world” But inside him voices danced Fighting what he’d just been told. Then at home, without being watched Changed his mind, and once for all, With his hot brain that still itched He began to climb the wall. That was hard at the beginning Could step up a foot or two But he made it, always grinning, He could reach the high cuckoo. That was it: he climbed high Higher than all humans do His plan was to reach the sky And look down at me and you. He was glad: he’d won the laws But he wasn’t much prepared To the vertigo it caused: That’s a reason to be scared. He began soon hard to sweat And his body trembled all. All this fear he can’t forget He lost contact to the wall. He fell down without a sound In a never ending flight He fell hardly to the ground All around him out of sight. What came next? The story’s sad For my little climbing friend He’s now lying in a bed Waiting for his very end. And the man? Well, at a glance Had a kind of fun with it In his total lack of sense “Here’s a total sack of – shit.”ahahahahah ma come ho fatto a scrivere 'sta roba? era un sacco che non la leggevo!
