Radio trasmesso in diretta dalla Sala B, studi RAI, via Asiago, Roma,

dalla trasmissione Planet Rock, RAI, mercoledí 27 settembre 1995, ore 21:20

Manuel Agnelli: voce, chitarre/guitars

Xabier Iriondo: chitarre/guitars

Davide Rossi: violectra [six string elecrtic viola]

Alessandro Zerilli: basso

Giorgio Prette: batteria/drums

this is the first time I transfer one of my analog tapes, hopefully, in a few years, I'll manage to do them all... I wanted to play this tape since I came back from living abroad, so basically this is something that sat unplayed since 96/97. Afterhours are now in my top list, I was not so enthusiastic at the time, they sounded heavier than "ballate per piccole iene", and I maybe preferred "Pop kills your soul" to Germi.

Lineage (FM > VHS > cass > Hard Disc > web):

-source: ITT HiFi4060 Tuner > VHS master with Sony SLV-815 HiFi stereo VHS recorder > Sony HF60 tape copy with aiwa AD-F410 tape deck (Dolby NR off)

-transfer: Sony HF60 tape copy played with Kenwood KX-W8070S tape deck [Azymuth aligned - Dolby NR off] > Audacity 1.3.5 Beta via C-Media CMI8738/C3DX soundcard [recording, splitting, editing] > 44100hz/16bit flac's (level 8) > dimeadozen.org

NOTE: Most of my own recordings from the early nineties were actually done via a [top of the line] HiFi VHS recorder, mainly because that allowed me easier editing and hours of continuos recording without missing anything due to a tape-flip (very useful for live boradcast of jazz shows, also, during the early nineties this was considered the best way to record sound). Then transfering the recording to a normal cassette tape for playing and storing. I used to call these cassette tapes my "masters", but technically it would be more appropriate to call them first generation. Anyhow, check samples for quality, I doubt you will be disappointed. Nowadays I more or less do the same: I record wavs, but play the cds I make off them.

Frome the time they were still singing in english... they sound much more professional nowadays.. Ossigeno still had the working title of "Il tuo odore, il mio ossigeno", and "Dentro Marylin" with the original english lyrics. Sound is a bit rougher than usual
