streetspirit
It's been rumoured for quite some time now and until today it has been uncertain if Thom would join Band Aid 20. But the BBC reports that Thom Yorke has recorded his part for 'Do they know it's Christmas?" already. The song, to be released on November 29th, is being produced by long time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. Midge Ure, the single's executive producer, says which parts they use from which artists is still up in the air, and Bono is flying in from Ireland this evening. It will be titled Band Aid 20 to mark the 20th anniversary of the original song, which featured stars such as George Michael, Duran Duran and Phil Collins. Sold on CD for £3.99 and also available as a download, the new version is hot favourite to be Christmas number one in the UK this year. Retailers expect to sell about 500,000 copies in its first week. Retailers Woolworths and Virgin Megastores will give their proceeds to the Band Aid Trust charity, while Chancellor Gordon Brown has decided not to charge VAT. The Band Aid Trust spent more than $144m (£77.5m) on famine relief in Africa between 1985 and the release of a Live Aid DVD earlier this month. qwerty
E pure Jonny, olè!"Jonny Greenwood has also contributed to the forthcoming Christmas hit 'Do they know it's Christmas?'. Besides Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Thom Yorke, who has recorded his part on Saturday, Jonny played guitar on the track. Thom has also done the piano on Band Aid 20's backing track.Sir Paul McCartney played bass guitar. Travis' Fran Healy was on acoustic guitar, while Supergrass' Danny Goffey played the drums. The Band Aid single will be played for the first time on Radio One tomorrow and will be in the shops on Monday, November 29.Madonna will introduce the launch of the new version of the 1984 charity hit when it is played on all five main TV channels at 6.05pm on Thursday"Per i non-anglofoni... praticamente dice che Thom parteciperà alla canzone "Do the know it's christmas?" che uscirà come singolo e sarà in vendita a fine novembre per il progetto di beneficenza Band Aid 20 insieme a molti altri artisti interazionali .E a tuto questo parteciperà pure jonny suonando la chitarra mentre thom ha suonato il piano e cantato! streetspirit
Fake Plastic Man

max [idioteque.it]
