Vabbé ci sta, tu vivi all'estero da anni e anni ed è chiaro tu possa ascoltare tale espressioni in un contesto lavorativo estero tutti i giorni. Io che vivo e lavoro in Italia posso leggere storielle in lingua inglese da tutti i paesi dal mondo solo sul web. E molto ma molto raramente vedo usare "Read The Room". Poi invece sul lavoro sento solo espressioni tipo quelle usate da Geolier

Quando sul web leggi storielle assurde riguardanti fans di altri artisti/gruppi e alla fine sbucano fuori dal nulla gli Smile: "So about 15 years ago when I worked several different retail jobs I had to learn the hard way that listening to FNM is the only safe thing to put on work. Tall dude beelined over and excitedly asked me if I put the song on. I nodded and smiled and hurried myself out to the back. From the stock room I watched him sit down and then the next track came on. Damn, he realised I was listening to the album and got REAL happy and started to kinda recline on the chair and make himself comfortable. I needed to keep serving people so went about my business and the questions began: are you a patton fan? Have you ever seen him live? Do you know secret chiefs 3? Did you know mine poured piss on himself once haha yeah pretty badass, are you working all day? Etc. I tried my best to busy myself with customers and he kept trying to make a lotta conversation and not read the room" WTF?

In questo momento, se ci fosse, voterei l'opzione "Nessuna, la mia preferita dell'album cambia ogni giorno" (altro suggerimento a @Lacatus per futuri sondaggi su WOE). 7 giorni fa dicevo che la migliore dell'album era Bending Hectic, 6 giorni fa Under Our Pillows, 5 giorni fa Read The Room, 4 giorni fa Friend of a Friend, 3 giorni fa Wall of Eyes, 2 giorni fa You Know Me!, ieri Teleharmonic, oggi dico I Quit... allucinante. Assurdo. Una roba del genere non mi capitava con un album da anni e anni. Come direbbero negli States, WOE è un ALL KILLER NO FILLER

In questo momento, se ci fosse, voterei l'opzione "Nessuna, mi piacciono tutte" (suggerimento a @Lacatus per futuri sondaggi su WOE). Anche I Quit mi è entrata dentro prepotentemente

In realtá spingono eccome nel momento di climax espressivo, almeno da quel che sento ascoltando l'album tramite il mio vecchio e caro lettore cd (l'ho fatto piú di una volta). Peró, pur spingendo, son d'accordo che il lordume della produzione sia evidente e che la batteria sembra microfonata davvero in malo modo. Sembra suoni tutto in modo orribile, in fondo al mix. Sembra, per l'appunto. Peró credo sia stato fatto apposta e... sto elaborando una mia teoria in merito sul perché abbiano microfonato la batteria in modo cosí strambo. Appena saró pronto, la esporró. Comunque sia, gli ultimi due minuti sono ovviamente post-rock, ma... io li definirei con piú accuratezza come noise. O al limite shoegaze. Noise rock mi sembra piú appropriato

Comunque questa piace da morire a @modifiedbear, ne sono certo (anche se non puó capire il testo ad un primo ascolto, per forza di cose). Mi ci gioco una mano

Comunque James Ford è colui che ha prodotto Memento Mori dei DM che piace tanto anche a @echoes (e anche a me). Ha anche prodotto l'ultimo dei Blur. Speriamo bene

Io ti ho risposto per quello che so, per le notizie in mio possesso. Le elucubrazioni mentali sul futuro degli Smile e/o dei Radiohead le lascio molto volentieri ad altri (compreso te), visto che comunque mi è anche passata la voglia di parlarne, detto molto sinceramente. Poi che si parli di Smile o Radiohead, per me resta impossibile che prima del 2026 esca qualcosa. Ma nell'attesa del prossimo LP, stavolta mi faró da parte e non scriveró piú per mesi e mesi dicendo la mia, dunque tranquilli. Sono stanco di scrivere sempre le stesse cose, ecco, dunque mi fermeró Detto tutto con affetto ovviamente, non capire male
