Tra l'altro si vede che Jonny e Thom si influenzano a vicenda, perchè molti artisti che qui thom sceglie vengono da etichette che Jonny notoriamente segue (A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Hildur cognome impossibile, Jaccok Kirkegaard che è il pazzo che registrava il rumore dei vulcani e registra per l'etichetta di Fennesz ecc. ecc). In generale il mood pare molto similare agli ascolti che possono aver fatto nella preparazione di amsp. Che thom abbia dato molte chiavi a Jonny mi pare possibile, visto il sound complessivo, ma questa playlist dimostra che pure thom c'è "dentro" a molti ascolti tipicamente jonnyani e quindi sta cosa del thom messo in un angolino a rimuginare in amsp pare perdere consistenza (tra l'altro personalmente mi pareva sempre forzata come idea). Amsp mi sembra sempre di più la versione Radioheaddica di certi sound neoclassici che qui sono ben rappresentanti nella playlist. Perchè alla fine tra ambient, elettroacustico e poi neoclassica c'è meno differenza di quanto si pensi.. Certo io continuo a sognare un disco ancora più ambientale dei Radiohead tout court ma è chiaro che già amsp in un certo senso, alla larga, era un tentativo di esplorare parte di quel mondo. Ma di quale A Moon Shaped Pool parli? Quello brasiliano di Present Tense o quello debussyiano di Glass Eyes? Quello folk di Desert Island Disk o quello pseudo dubstep di Identikit? Wanderer Posted December 23, 2017 Report Share Posted December 23, 2017 no, quello di burn the witch, daydreaming, decks dark, ful stop, glass eyes, identikit, parzialmente present tense, tinker, true love e in generale dal sound del disco che, come amnesiac che disomogeneo negli episodi ma non nell'atmosfera complessiva del lavoro a me pare che la virata di sound sia proprio quella di certi epiodi che thom ha postato, certo poi messi a servizio dei vari pezzi che avevano per le mani, con un lavoro di arrangiamento più che di composizione tout court.
