Wanderer Posted August 4, 2016 Report Share Posted August 4, 2016 Secondo me l'idea è molto interessante, però un paio di brani mancano un po' di inventiva a livello armonico, che forse potevano dare un po' di pepe in più a certi pezzi, sopratutto quelli maggiormente "dance oriented". Tipo Stash o Timelapse. Però devo dire che le altre sono notevoli, anche se non sopratutto pensando a come sono state fatte. Molto interessante. Quei momenti così piatti rovinano non poco il tutto, però Innocent e Bambi 2046 sono due vere perle. Le mie preferite senza dubbio. La prima un garage classicheggiante piacevole e originale, la seconda un incontro tra atmosfere There Will Be Blood e sci-fi. Meraviglia. Però è anche probabile che i pezzi più dance siano stati ridotti all'osso proprio per accentuare il fatto che l'armonia non è certo un elemento fondamentale nella musica dance. Lui voleva fare questo disco di "elettronica" suonata e quindi ha composto con quel tipo di pezzi in mente. Quindi paradossalmente, nei pezzi meno intriganti l'esperimento concettuale è ancora più riuscito. In un certo senso mi ricorda un po' gli esperimenti di donnie mccaslin nel jazz. Però devo anche dire che la cosa che mi ha sempre affascinato dei Radiohead è quella capacità di scrivere cose bellissime e intellettualmente stimolanti in una forma alla portata dei più. Questo cd è molto figo, però va preso a piccole dosi, tanto è scarno e complesso. Ci sento un po' di Reich nell'ossessività ritmica, forse per questo piace a Jonny.
