dal benefit di Parigi di inizio Dicembre che possiamo aspettarci? Sara' una cosa acustica e ci saranno chitarra, piano e accompagnamenti "classici" degli altri strumentisti presenti, ci sono Flea e c'e' Patti Smith quindi davvero si potrebbe spaziare da duetti con Patti (e io spero fortissimamente in uno da cui non mi riprenderei MAI PIU'), a cose con Flea (Harrowdown) a perle dei Radiohead o di Thom (Fog?, Ingenue al piano?, How to Disappear alla chitarra acustica?, I Froze Up?, pezzi dell'LP9?).

Davvero tutto molto imprevedibile e per questo tutto molto bello. #quantegggioieeeee

Da una rapida occhiata al sito di Pathway, o meglio a quello a cui si appoggiano per i biglietti, mi pare di aver letto più volte che il tema sarà "pop-rock/folk".

no beh piu' che sulla "classificazione di genere" io mi basavo sui video delle scorse edizioni...

alcuni dei musicisti sono gli stessi e c'e' un'arpista, piano... insomma tutti strumenti classici che mi farebbero escludere in modo abbastanza categorico una riproposizione di TMB (per la quale nn credo tra le altre cose avrebbe nemmeno il tempo necessario)... quindi diciamo che mi aspetto una "versione ridotta" di Cambridge (speriamo nn troppo ridotta e speriamo di nn illudermi per nulla )

ma piú che altro, quando dicevo che secondo me questo live sarebbe stato acustico, stile Latitude 2009, al massimo qualche cosa con Flea, il buon Lac mi cazziava dicendo che stavo schifando TMB

considerando il mio lavoro stavo seriamente pensando di prendere il biglietto - e adesso che leggo che raddoppiano ci sto ri-pensando. Ma in realtá, almeno stando a quanto mi hanno raccontato, la COP é una rottura di palle, verrei davvero "solo" per la musica. boh, forse preferisco tenermi i soldi per il "grande" tour dei Radiohead dell'anno prossimo.

Lac x ora la notizia non è ancora ufficiale e si basa sulle dichiarazioni rilasciate questa mattina a una radio dal primo ministro francese. Certo lo scenario non lascia tante speranze ma le manifestazioni legate al summit sono centinaia e per ora i biglietti sono ancora in vendita su fnac e pathway non ha dato alcuna comunicazione.
Attendiamo e qualsiasi decisione prendano va accettata serenamente.

People have been asking if Pathway to Paris is continuing and if the December events are still happening in light of the recent terrible tragic events that occurred there, and now the response bombing. We are taking things one day at a time and being in touch with our team there, but as of now, the UN conference is still happening, and so the current thought is that our events will still take place. Yes, I am newly confused and it is very scary, and yes bands like Marilyn Manson, Motorhead, U2, and Foo Fighters have cancelled or postponed their Paris concerts, so that adds another layer of confusion. But it also seems that more than ever we need to stand strong and make our voices heard, and that music is the perfect way to bring people together in hope. Whatever we are told by the government and our Paris team, we will listen to and abide by, but it feels wrong to back down at this time when the city needs citizen support and action most. Here is an article about moving forward with environment activism, the events that were supposed to take place in the city, and the current movement forward. We will keep you posted, and thank you to everyone for checking in with us. I appreciate all the concerns sent through email, messages, texts, and phone calls, and I assure you we will do whatever feels right.

Il y a un mois, le chanteur ne savait pas non plus quelle formule musicale il allait choisir pour cet événement. DJ set hybride ? Set acoustique ?

« Il faut que je décide vite ne serait-ce pour que dire au technicien si je prends juste la guitare acoustique et basta. Ça me fait penser que le meilleur concert que j’ai vu de ma vie c’était Neil Young, en 2008, à l’Hammersmith Appolo de Londres. Les deux premières heures, c’était juste lui sur scène avec son piano et toutes ses guitares acoustiques autour accordées différemment. Il n’avait pas écrit de setlist. Il est juste monté sur scène et a décidé ce qu’il allait jouer selon l’humeur du moment. C’était quelque chose. Pourrait-il essayer la même chose ? « Je pourrais essayer mais je n’ai pas confiance en ma mémoire. J’ai des problèmes pour me rappeler des paroles de mes chansons. »

Io avevo gia' grandi aspettative, adesso ancora di piu' .. sia per l'intervista di Thom che per tutto il resto.

Secondo me alla fine fara' 6/7 pezzi a sera (spero non gli stessi, almeno non tutti). L'intervista francese lascia davvero presagire un set acustico a la Cambridge (anche se non si sa mai).

Butto giu' 10 pezzi che secondo me, tra le due serate, potrebbe fare e/o che mi piacerebbe che facesse:

Visto che c'e' Flea potrebbero tentare una Harrowdown Hill anche se acustica boh
