E io ho poca confidenza col jazz, ma proprio com’è fatta, ha dei momenti veramente bellissimi. Come sono incastrati belli i pezzi, mi viene in mente dov’è posizionata Evening Star ad esempio. dalla 11 alla 17 si viaggia che è una bellezza! Lo so che nn è una novità per loro ma pensavo che in fin dei conti è il motivo principale per cui, a distanza di trent'anni, continuo a seguire con attenzione ciò che fanno: perchè riescono a tradurre in un liguaggio pop (e aggiungerei "rock" con gli Smile) suoni e atmosfere che provengono da altri mondi sonori. Dubito fortemente che la mia attenzione nei confronti della musica di Yorke/J.Greenwood & Co. sarebbe durata così a lungo se avessero passato il resto della loro vita ad ascoltare R.E.M., Smiths, New Order, Pixies e successivi epigoni.
