echoes Posted October 2, 2009 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 Sì invece, almeno per me..cioé il mood è totalmente diverso. magari lo perpisce solo chi ha ascoltato per anni big ideas..l'intro e l'outro alla Walt Disney (con tutti quegli "uuuuh uuuuh uuuh") belli eh..per carità..ma trasmettono sensazioni totalmente diverse, lontane da quelle della prima versione..sì sì se limitiamo il discorso alla linea vocale hai tutto il mio appoggio...io nella coda (huahuuu) ci ho sempre sentito la sirenetta ad esempio però a livello di arrangiamento non esiste confronto secondo me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It has been a long time coming, as I wanted to get this out earlier; but having a pretty crazy year meant I that never had the opportunity to really sit down and focus.I decided 3 days ago to get stuck in, and here is the finished result.To do the mix, I studied both the 2006 Hammersmith and Bonnaroo performances to understand what kind of arrangement they were going for, then spent a while figuring out how it would work as a studio piece.Thom's vocals and piano are there, and were manually time-stretched / edited to a fixed tempo of 72 BPM, which is what they used for the more recent Scotch Mist and From The Basement gigs.I tried to replicate Jonny's guitar playing as close as possible whilst avoiding the temptation to confound the mix with aggressive guitars, so it will sound a little more reserved compared to the live version. I really think Jonny achieved a great balance on the Bonnaroo performance, so I spent most of the time listening to that as an example.Ed's reverse effects and resonating loops are all there, along with a few added synths to really space out the outro.Phil's original beat is there too, but with a few tweaks to give the arrangement a tiny bit of variety, mostly working to jazz up the bass.lo trovate qui, insieme agli altri:http://www.devilhood.com/media.htmpersonalmente preferisco la versione disco, però è lo stesso un bel lavoro.
