Vediamo quanto resta su, però, perchè il problema maggiore di queste produzioni jazz che - fortunatamente - escono dal circoletto - il più delle volte si consumano in fretta, dato che attira molto il vestito ma la sostanza sotto è pochina (penso anche ai Fire citati nella recensione). Ma gli Heliocentrics sono sempre stati meglio - molto - di tutta la fuffa gilespetersoninana londinese oggi molto in voga. E credo che con questo disco lo dimostrino.. Se avete voglia, recuperate il bel disco con Mulatu Astastke del 2009. ps. Con la voce della tipa slovena, assumono dei contorni trip hop che prima non avevano... Anche Dolphy, col clarinetto, si ispirava al suono degli uccelli, cosa che affascinò non poco Coltrane, quando suonarono assieme. C'è un brulicare di strumenti a corda che rendono molto bene quel formicaio vivente che è l'India. Tyner che apre tutto, poi abbandona perchè seguire Trane e Dolphy è impossibile. Jones che è un mistero. Dolphy che è sgarbato ma poetico. Trane che semplicemente ci fa capire che non è di questo pianeta.... Ditemi voi cosa deve commentare uno sentendo il passaggio 13.00-13.07... In generale comunque i Village Vanguard di Coltrane vanno ascoltati completi, tutte le 4 serate novembrine..le raccolte uscite e "in diretta" e postume non rendono giustizia. Per carità, li ascolti una volta l'anno, ma che roba... Grazie che mi hai fatto risentire Coltrane, era da tanto che nonl o ascoltavo.
