C'entrerà un sacco il ghiaccio.Forse ci siamo col ghiaccio ma cambiando approccio: parlerà della bellezza della primavera, la natura, non quella astratta di TKOL, ma quella reale, quindi non tramite la distopia del wall of ice ma con semplicità, la bellezza del disgelo, insomma. A questo punto sì, davvero curioso di sapere come verrà utilizzata la new technology.Io intravedo una strada che parte da Give up the ghost / Separator. molonovo Posted January 5, 2016 Report Share Posted January 5, 2016 Io prevedo (mi piacerebbe...) un disco che riprende l'articolazione ritmica di TKOL per declinarla in chiave jazzistica: se in TKOL la base ritmica era costituita da una fitta coltre di strati, per LP9 prevedo lo stesso orientamento al poliritmo (mi riferisco chiramente a TKOL lato A) ma con un focus maggiore sulle dinamiche degli strumenti. Quindi la batteria (o le batterie, perchè Clive Deamer potrebbe essere stabile nel prossimo LP, chissà...) e il basso al centro del mix, come nei vecchi dischi jazz, e gli altri strumenti che dialogano attorno generando un maggiore senso di spazio e ossigeno tra le varie voci. Da questo punto di vista mi piacerebbe, quindi, vederli portare avanti il discorso intrapreso con TKOL FTB...A giudicare dai pezzi di Parigi e dai relativi disegni di Stanley Donwood, prevedo delle tonalità sicuramente più luminose e accese rispetto a quelle di TKOL.Per quanto riguarda l'impianto sonoro e melodico generale, mi immagino un disco "stile anni '70"... Diciamo come pensare a TKOL - sia lato A che B - ma con Art Blakey, Sun Ra, 'Future Days' dei Can, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Fela Kuti, John Coltrane e Scott Walker nella testa piuttosto che Burial, Actress, Flying Lotus e Four Tet... E naturalmente Bartók, Messiaen e le arie orientali per le parti orchestrali :-)Pippe mentali a parte, considerato il tempo che hanno dedicato alla sua creazione e il silenzio assoluto di cui lo hanno circondato, penso che abbiano tra le mani molto materiale e prezioso.
