Captain Yesterday Posted April 21, 2011 Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 I National hanno rivelato di essere al lavoro su una nuova compilation, i cui proventi saranno devoluti in beneficenza. La band non è nuova ad iniziative di questo genere: nel 2009 il gruppo curò una raccolta di brani, scelti tra i nomi più noti della scena indie internazionale, intitolata "Dark was the night", i cui ricavati furono devoluti a Red Hot, associazione che lotta da anni contro l'AIDS. Il disco conteneva contributi di artisti come Bon Iver, Arcade Fire e Spoon. Il progetto attuale, a detta dei National, sarà probabilmente incentrato su delle cover: "Bryce e Aaron sono al lavoro per realizzare una compilation benefica, un po' come abbiamo fatto con 'Dark was the night'. Questa volta però pensavamo di orientarci su un album di cover, probabilmente dei Grateful Dead. Sarebbe anche un'occasione per rendere omaggio ad una delle nostre band preferite, a cui dobbiamo davvero molto musicalmente parlando. Non ci dispiacerebbe coinvolgere anche i Crystal Castle", hanno dichiarato i National.
