Con gli altri cinque sarebbe stata un'altra cosa.Ingenue, Amok e Unless le migliori del disco. La prima in particolare è così tipicamente Yorkiana che avremmo pure potuta sentirla in versione piano e voce ai tempi dei live al Latitude, "e la lira s'impenna!" L'ho persino ballato in autobus.All'ennesimo ascolto ci ho scoperto molto più Thom Yorke di quanto all'inizio sembrasse non esserci, perché là dove il cancellatore scaccia via i suoi fantasmi e scopre i cocktails comincia Amok.Before You Very Eyes. Molto bella ma non la migliore, solamente ascoltandolo il testo mi sembra interessante ma dovrei ricontrollare. Finisce benissimo. 7,9Default. Pensavo potesse diventare "la Lotus Flower di Amok", nel senso che nel flusso consequenziale del disco avrebbe acquistato più bellezza, ma mi sono ricreduto: carina ma niente di più. 6,5Ingenue. Le goccie che cadono. Cazzo. 8Dropped. L'orgia sonora che parte al primo ritornello è roba da brividi. Il beat storto di tom-tom e snare (ignoro, batteristi illuminatemi) che entra dopo mi piace tantissimo (credo un po' in ritardo rispetto il battere). La linea vocale più bella dell'album appartiene a questa traccia. 8,5Unless. Ecco sì questa è il castle theme (tra l'altro miglior colonna sonora di un videogioco ever) versione dubstep-orgia sonora. I Mostri. Quando parte l'intermezzo di basso. E dopo. . 9,5Stuck Together Pieces. Quella che dapprima mi è rimasta in testa di più. Infatti penso sia la più orecchiabile, con una chitarra sospesa tra Reckoner e The Present Tense questa è quella che a livello squisitamente armonico delizia di più. Il beat è troppo uguale però. Ma l'intermezzo con quel riff è una figata. 8,5Judge Jury Executioner. Senza alcun dubbio la peggiore. Mi piacciono i clap storti un po' James Blake e basta. Gayest ritornello ever. La pretendente alla most skipped track di Amok è lei. 5,5Reverse Running. La traccia Caraibi all'alba/tramonto con Cuba Libre e Capirinha. Peccato per le zanzare alla fine, potevano metterci qualche altro suono. 8Amok. Qua c'è tantissimo Burial come ha già notato qualcun'altro. Il synth vabè l'ho già detto che è da apocalisse. Il metafisico passaggio da notte a mattina si compie qua. Il piano con gli uuuuh è bellissimo.
