Radiohead’s former label seem determined to make some money from the band’s current activities.When Radiohead announced the release of their ‘In Rainbows’ Discbox in December, EMI quickly followed with the release of the 7 albums (6 studio, 1 live) as a box set which included the albums as digipacks, download and USB-stick.Now the tour is coming up (North American dates are expected to be announced next week), EMI have got another release up their sleeves; the long feared Greatest Hits album. Ed O’Brien told Strombo [laughing]: “They’re planning to do a Greatest Hits for April, May to coincide with our tour. That’s an interesting one. We won’t be doing any promotion for that, obviously.”In an interview with Analogue, Phil Selway quickly commented on a Greatest Hits album as well: “It’s well within their rights to do it. [sigh]. principles Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 Sinceramente non m'interessa più di tanto.Obiettivamente non lo acquisterò. Inutile prendere una cosa con un "artwork fasullo" con delle canzoni che posso comodamente gustare in un intero cd dove stanno bene. Ci sono poche band che io non considero da greatest hits, i Radiohead non lo sono assolutamente. Ogni canzone ha un valore particolare, anche Hunting Bears o Treefingers che potrebbero dimostrarsi ad un ascolto poco attento le più semplici e poco particolari. max [idioteque.it] Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 non mi stupisco né mi schifo più di tanto dell'uscita di questo greatest hits.l'unica cosa che però veramente mi da fastidio è il terrificante atteggiamento adottato dalla emi records. da quando è arrivato Guy Hands le cose sono cambiate (in peggio) e la emi è diventata incredibilmente arrogante.non era così prima, e lo dimostra lo splendido rapporto radiohead-emi che c'è stato fino all'arrivo di questo despota (non saranno stati santi ma sicuramente erano meglio che ora).del greatest hits ripeto, me ne frega poco o niente (credo anche che avrà poco successo). solo mi infastidisce l'arroganza esibita (una volta ancora) dalla emi di Guy Hands (che per me è come il diavolo).
