Thom addirittura ha smesso di twittare dal 1 gennaio, con quell'eloquente "la fine delle parole buche"... Sono d'accordo con Bakke e Jimi, Silent Spring potrebbe essere il pezzo centrale del disco. Riassuntino: le registrazioni dell'Lp9 sono cominciate il 22 settembre 2014 ad Oxford. Dopo 3 mesi di lavoro intenso è seguita una pausa invernale. Hanno ripreso a marzo 2015 e poi in aprile/maggio hanno proseguito le registrazioni in Provenza negli studi Fabrique. Dopo una pausa estiva a settembre sono tornati al Fabrique dove hanno lavorato anche in ottobre. A novembre nel corso di una sessione di 2 settimane hanno registrato gli archi. A dicembre Thom ha suonato alla chitarra acustica 3 canzoni inedite: Silent Spring, Desert Island Disk e la già nota The Present Tense (in una versione più "anima latina"). Negli stessi giorni Stanley ha twittato un artwork col testo di Silent Spring https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CU54lbeWwAAT-q2.jpg A gennaio sono state annunciate le prime date ai festival e Nigel ha twittato un breve video senza audio con le bobine del presunto Lp9 che giravano... Se dovessi scommettere: TESTE DI SERIE The Present Tense, Silent Spring e Desert Island Disk (non solo perché sono le tre presentate più recentemente, ma anche perchè Thom nel presentarle ha detto orgoglioso "the full versions're better"). SECONDA FASCIA Ful Stop e Identikit, in quanto canzoni più suonate durante il tour di Tkol (anche se per questo stesso motivo potrebbero essere quelle scartate) e Lift (sia Ed che Jonny hanno rivelato che è stata ripescata). TERZA FASCIA Skirting On The Surface, Cut A Hole (suonate nel un paio di volte nel tour 2012) Come To Your Senses (provata e non suonata nel tour 2012), Open The Floodgates (registrata assieme a The Present Tense nel sito ASCAP), Burn The Witch e Dawn Chorus (per la "Dawn Chorus LLP"). Senza citare "new new new songs" che sicuramente avranno sviluppato, siamo giá a 10, per cui dire che le altre mi paiono fuori dai giochi (mi dispace per Wake Me e I Froze Up). Non ho ascoltato NESSUNO dei brani citati (tranne ahimè the present tense) quindi non saprei dirti. So che potrebbero pubblicarle tutte o solo qualcuna, ma dipende da loro: se esce un LP9 o se esce prima un EP o una serie di EP...dipende. A naso ti direi che The Present Tense, Silent Spring e Desert Island Disk potrebbero finire nel LP9 o in uno degli EP. Quindi aspettiamo. Cioe' secondo me a Dicembre Thom aveva gia' le idee molto piu' chiare sui pezzi che sarebbero finiti nell'album rispetto al concerto di Cambridge.
