Ed è un peccato, perché ci sono certi giri melodici che potrebbero conquistarmi il cuore, ma che invece perdono punti a causa della loro essenzialità... L'essenzialità, dopo che l'hai assimilata, diventa il perno di questo disco. Il punto forte sono i dettagli, non tanto i giri melodici.Disco enorme: macchè enorme, enormissimo.Poi, io parlo per esperienza mia, quindi vale relativamente poco.Dico solo che quando lo acquistai mi fece schifo; deve essere assimilato per mostrarsi in tutto il suo calore "azzurro" e in tutti i suoi sorprendenti dettagli. Parrebbe essere un buon segno. no va beh adesso non farti fare il lavaggio del cervello.secondo me il segreto è contestualizzare il disco (Londra 2011, club, università, un po' di riposo a Lindisfarne...) e poi sei pronto ad apprezzarlo appieno.poi tieni conto che tutto ciò che ha registrato è stato fatto in casa sua, da solo o con pochi intimi. ha iniziato postando canzoni post-dubstep sui forum inglesi e fa il dj.poi le atmosfere escono da sole, grazie ai vari suoni sintetici usati, grazie alla maniacalità con cui ricerca il suono del beat e delle linee di basso. questo disco si costruisce su sfumature. "But that's mainly because I've had more time to go to clubs, and that normally breeds that kind of influence. I've been doing quite a few DJ set recently, which have been really fun."He went on to say of his plans for the record: "I think it's going to be a bit more aggressive, to be honest. It seems that way. I don't feel more aggressive, it's just been… it's just how I feel. In terms of writing more club tracks, writing more electronically influenced – I feel like it was all electronically influenced, but now that influence has come to me in a different way".Blake also said he was eager to work with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon again, after the pair teamed up for the collaborative track 'Fall Creek Boys Choir' last year.
